Add page numbers
Number every page
Stamp page numbers onto every page, with control over where they sit, what number they start from and which page starts the count.
Questions
- Are my files uploaded anywhere?
- No. Every tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript — your file is never uploaded to a server, because there is no server. You can confirm it by opening your browser’s network tab, or by disconnecting from the internet once the page has loaded: the tool still works.
- Can I start numbering after the cover page?
- Yes. Set the first numbered page to 2 and the cover is left blank, while the numbering still starts from whatever value you choose.
- Can I use “Page 1 of 10” style?
- Yes. Three styles are available: a plain number, “Page 1”, and “1 of 10”.
- Will the numbers land correctly on rotated pages?
- Yes. Placement is worked out against the page as you see it, so a number set to bottom-right appears bottom-right even on a page carrying a rotation flag.
