Quicky PDF for Mac

The tools from this site, in an app. Plus a viewer with a highlighter, and a place in Finder’s right-click menu.

Not sure which Mac you have? Open the Apple menu, choose About This Mac, and look at the Chip or Processor line. Anything starting with M is Apple Silicon.

Version 1.0.2, released 2 September 2026. Release notes. Requires macOS 11 or later.

What you get

  • Every tool, offline. Merge, split, compress, sign, redact, fill forms, protect, compare and the rest. They run on your machine, so they work with the network switched off.
  • A real viewer. Double-click any PDF to open it. Select text and highlight it in four colours, then save a PDF with the marks in it. The text stays selectable afterwards.
  • In the right-click menu. Right-click a PDF in Finder and look under Quick Actions for Compress, Split, Sign, Protect and Merge.
  • Updates itself. It checks for new versions and offers them. You will not be stranded on an old build.

Your documents stay yours

The app has no account and no analytics, and it sends your files nowhere. There is no server of ours involved at any point. You can read exactly what that means in the privacy policy for the desktop app.

Both builds are signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarised by Apple, so they install without a security warning.

Windows

Not ready yet. Rather than ship something that makes Windows warn people about an unknown publisher, it is waiting on a code-signing certificate. Until then every tool works in your browser at www.quickypdf.com with nothing to install.
