Browser Extension Privacy Policy

Quicky PDF is made by Round Social LLC, a limited liability company incorporated in Delaware, United States, with its business address at 169 Madison Ave STE 38170, New York, NY 10016, United States.

The extension has no account, no sign-in and no analytics. It does not collect your name, email address, location, browsing history, or anything about how you use it. There is no tracking, no advertising identifier and no crash reporting.

We receive nothing from the extension. That is not a promise about how carefully we handle your data; it is that no data reaches us in the first place, so there is none for us to handle, lose, or be asked to hand over.

Your documents are not sent anywhere. Every tool runs inside your browser tab, on your own machine, using code that ships inside the extension package.

When you open a PDF, the extension fetches that file from the address you opened it from, so it can display it. That is the same request your browser was already going to make to show you the document, and it goes to whichever site is hosting the file, not to us.

That is the only request the extension ever makes. It has no server of its own to talk to.

Chrome shows a warning that the extension can "read and change all your data on all websites". That wording is the same for every extension holding this permission, and it is worth saying plainly what this one does with it.

A PDF can be hosted at any address, so the extension cannot list in advance the sites it needs. The permission is used for two things: to notice when you navigate to an address ending in .pdf so it can open that file in its own viewer, and to fetch the bytes of that PDF once it does.

It is used for nothing else. The extension installs no content scripts, which means no code of ours runs on the pages you browse. It does not read, alter or record page content, form data, passwords or cookies, and it does not watch you navigate to anything other than PDFs.

The extension writes no preferences, no history and no cached documents. It uses no extension storage, no local storage and no cookies of its own.

A file you edit is only saved when you download it, and it is saved by your browser to wherever your downloads go. The extension never keeps a copy.

Chrome does not let any extension read files from your computer unless you turn that on yourself, and it never prompts you to. If you want to open a local PDF in the Quicky PDF viewer, you have to enable "Allow access to file URLs" on the extension’s own page in your browser settings.

That setting stays under your control and can be switched off at any time. It changes nothing else in this policy: a local file is read in your browser and never leaves your computer.

The extension is a document tool with no accounts and no social features, and it is not directed at children. Since it collects no data from anyone, it collects none from children either.

If the extension ever starts doing something this policy does not describe, the policy changes in the same release, and the date at the top of this page changes with it.
